Mr. Sajid Amit, Director, Center for Enterprise and Society (CES) and ULAB EMBA delivered a lecture at Foreign Service Academy on Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) and Foreign Policy Implications.

On Sunday, May 27, 2018, under a partnership agreement between the Foreign Service Academy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Bangladesh, and the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), Mr. Sajid Amit, Director, ULAB Center for Enterprise and Society, and Director, EMBA, delivered a lecture to young foreign service officers as a part of a lecture series on Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) and its Foreign Policy Implications. The ongoing lecture series is a part of the capacity development of the young diplomats and is taking place at the historical Foreign Service Academy at Bailey Road.

ULAB, a leading private university in Bangladesh, has 8 research centers. The Center for Enterprise and Society is one of the oldest research centers at ULAB, dedicated to the creation of knowledge at the nexus of business and society. Given the increasing importance of CVE to not only sustaining an investment friendly environment in the country, but also, the development of well-rounded citizens, ULAB has built up a portfolio in research and programming in this area. Mr. Sajid Amit is a graduate of Columbia University and Dartmouth College, and has been at ULAB since 2014.
