ULAB Delegation Attends the 14th South Asian Management Forum (SAMF) in the Maldives

A ULAB delegation comprising of Professor Imran Rahman, Vice Chancellor, ULAB; Mr. Sajid Amit, Director, Center for Enterprise and Society (CES); and Mr. Md. Faisol Chowdhury, Assistant Professor ULAB School of Business (USB), attended and presented a paper at the 14th South Asian Management Forum (SAMF), organized by Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA) in the Maldives on April 24th to 26th. AMDISA is a 250-member network of Management Education and Management Development Institutions in South Asia, and a SAARC-recognized body.

The theme of the 14th SAMF 2017 was “Governance and Public Policy – Role of Management Development”. The forum aimed to bring together management experts, scholars, practicing managers, business leaders, policy administrators and other academicians from different countries of South Asia on a platform to discuss various connected issues and share their research findings.

The conference covered the following sub-themes:

  • Governance and Management Development: Whither Management Education;
  • Evolving Public Policy: Role of Management Education;
  • Dynamics of Governance and Public Policy: Current Trends;
  • Management Education in evolving Governance Strategies.
